12 DAYS IN RAINBOW NATION - CAPE TOWN-JHB - Kruger N.P.
Day 1
Arrival at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, tour drive through the city Cape Town, Castle of Good Hope, Houses of Parliament, City Hall, drive through the city and admiring the views from Table Mountain. Dinner in the restaurant at Waterfront.
Day 2 After breakfast a full day excursion to the Cape of Good Hope. On the way there, a visit at Muizenburg, the oldest South African town built at False Bay. Visit to a semi-precious stone grinding plant in Simons Town, base of the South African Navy and Boulders Beach - residents of pinguins. Drive through the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and walk up to the top of Cape Point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Drive to Hout Bay along Chapman’s Peak with its spectacular views and then further along the coastline to Cape Town, passing magnificent views of Sandy Bay and Clifton. Visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Dinner.
Day 3 Escape to the tranquility and Old World charm of well known wine farms, Paarl and Franschoek, where you can relax and taste fine Cape Wines. Visit the Afrikaans Language Monument and an exciting visit to an Ostrich Farm including dinner with ostrich dishes.
Day 4 After breakfast a drive along the Garden Route to Mossel Bay (400 km) via a spectacular marine drive past Gordon’s Bay and magnificent views of False Bay from the top of Sir Lowry’s Pass. Visiting the gracious fishing town of Hermanus, famous for its whales. Visit to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. After arrival to Mossel Bay, dinner.
Day 5
A full day trip to Oudtshoorn, the Feather Capital of the world. A drive through the spectacular Robinson Pass to the Cango Caves, regarded as one of South Africa’s foremost natural wonders. Dinner.
Day 6 Full day tour of Knysna, including a tour of Featherbed Nature Reserve with its wonderful views of Knysna Lagoons. A ride on the Outniqua Choo-Tjoe train through wonderful Knysna Lagoons to George. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 After breakfast transfer to airport. Flight to Johannesburg; A trip into downtown Johannesburg, visit to Gold Reef City - a reconstruction of Johannesburg during the gold rush era, built around a mine. Diversions include a Victorian fun fair, tribal dancing, miner’s houses, a brewery and pubs. A trip down an old mine shaft and watching molten gold being poured. Transfer to hotel and dinner.
Day 8 In the morning a trip to Mpumalanga Province, on the way to Kruger National Park viewing the beautiful Gods Window, Blyde River Canyon and Lisbon.Mac-Mac Falls. Overnight stay at the Kruger National Park or near it and dinner.
Day 9 After breakfast a full day of game viewing of the Kruger National Park, a vast reserve where you can experience Africa at her best. Keep a lookout for the wonderful flora, birdlife and the big five. Overnight and dinner.
Day 10
In the earlier morning departure for Pretoria. A tour of Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa. Visit to the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square, State Theatre and the Union Buildings. Dinner.
Day 11 After breakfast a trip to Sun City/Lost City (160 km). Visit to Crocodile Park and to the Sun City, beautiful entertainment resort, overnight and dinner.
Day 12
Visit to Lost City tropical gardens and leisure time at the Valley of Waves at the Lost City. In the afternoon, return to Johannesburg and transfer to the airport.
